Principle 11. “See What You Want, Get What You See”

This principle stopped me.

I couldn’t see anything. It was very difficult and I still find it difficult.

I have to visualise my future with all my goals achieved. Moreover, I have to feel the feeling how I’d feel.

The author says, “The process of visualising for success is really quite simple. All you have to do is close your eyes and see your goals as already complete”.

Well, I couldn’t.

I tried this exercise and failed. That’s when I reviewed my goals and noticed that some of the goals I didn’t really care about. Not so important to me.

So I eliminated them. My goals list shouldn’t have been a mere wish list.

Another thing stopped me was the suggestion to visualise my goals as already achieved after reading them out loud.

I mean, what time should I wake up to do that? It was already getting too much.

I stopped reviewing my goals, all together.

And it’s been a while.

I’ve been feeling a bit down these days. Not having goals is easy. I felt alright but not great.
I felt like before.

I could tell, that if I kept going like that, I might have a better year than last year (the worst year of my life), it’s gonna be another not so bad, not so great year.

These days I’m obsessed with having a good sleep. It’s been stressful at work. I’d do anything to de-stress myself.

Exercising helps a lot. I think anyone who is depressed should try exercising.

But it was not enough.

I needed to start working on my project again.

I’m still struggling to visualise and feel my goals as already achieved. But I decided to try anyway.

Next principle is interesting. If I could do it, then it might be easier to visualise everything.
